Central Unitarian Church in Paramus to Present 'Immigrants for Sale'

The documentary illustrates the connection between an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration and the for-profit corrections industry.

The Social Action Committee of the Central Unitarian Church in Paramus presents “Immigrants for Sale” on Friday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Produced by activist group Cuéntame, the 33-minute, unrated documentary illustrates the connection between the ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration and the for-profit corrections industry. The discussion moderator is Johanna Calle of the N.J. Alliance for Immigrant Justice, and doors are set to open at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served, and donations will be accepted.

The film presentation is co-sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Palisades Social Justice Team and the Social Responsibilities Council of the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood.
