Council Holds First Public Session Since Reorg; Pasta Benefit for Bonastia

MONDAY: In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., all borough offices and private schools will be closed today. The public schools have a half-day and the Main and Reid libraries will be open.

TUESDAY: The Paramus Mayor and Council have a 7pm work session in the basement Caucus Room followed by a 7:45pm public session in the courtroom.

WEDNESDAY: The Recreation Commission will meet at Petruska Park at 7pm.

THURSDAY: The Zoning Board of Adjustment has a 7:30pm meeting.

WEEKEND: The Paramus Recreation Commission is hosting a Pasta Benefit Dinner for Rob Bonastia a 19-year-old, Paramus resident who is battling cancer. The dinner will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, 7pm at the Elks Club, 200 Rt. 17 North. Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the Paramus Recreation Center, 475 Farview Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm and on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:45pm. Tickets will not be sold at the door!

Bergen Community College will hold Saturday registration hours from 10am to 1pm in the Registration Center, Room A-129, in the Pitkin Education Center on the main campus in Paramus.
