Council Meets on Wednesday After Prior Meeting's Cancellation

MONDAY: All borough offices as well as both libraries will be closed until Wednesday.

TUESDAY: Happy Holidays from Patch editors Alana Quartuccio and Eamon Harbord.

WEDNESDAY: The Mayor and Council will have a 6pm Sine Die meeting at borough hall after last week's meeting had to be cancelled due to a lack of quorum.

THURSDAY: The Rug Importer Store on Rt. 17 is closing its Paramus location and is hosting a 70% off all inventory. A portion of sales will be donated to the Sandy NJ Relief Fund.

Girls Basketball is at Union City High School to face River Dell on Wednesday, 11:30am for a Holiday Tournament with additional games scheduled for Dec. 28 and Dec. 30.

Hockey competes in the Pepsi Holiday Classic at the Ice Vault in Wayne after opening the tournament against St. Joseph by the Sea yesterday. The Spartans face Mahwah, Dec. 28, 5pm and Wayne Valley on Dec. 30, 11am.

Boys Basketball will be at Jonathan Dayton all week for a Holiday Tournament, starting on Dec. 27 and ending on Dec. 29.

Wrestling in the BCCA George Jockish Holiday (County) Tournament will be held at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY on Dec. 29 for 11am prelims and 4:30pm wrestlebacks and quarterfinals. The tournament continues on Dec. 30 with the 10:30am semifinals, 3pm third/fifth/seventh place matches and the 5pm finals.

Paramus Catholic

Girls Basketball will be at Pascack Valley this week for the Indians Holiday Tournament and kick off their competition against Pascack Hills, Wednesday 4:45pm. Additional games are scheduled for Dec. 28 and Dec. 30.

Boys Basketball will play at Immaculata for a Holiday Tournament and face Holy Trinity in the opening round on Dec. 27, 4:30pm. They play Gill St. Bernard on Dec. 28, 6pm and Plainfield on Dec. 30, 6pm.

Hockey plays DePaul Catholic twice this week in a series of away-home matches. The Paladins head to the Ice Vault in Wayne on Dec. 26, 8:15pm and return to the Ice House in Hackensack on Dec. 30, 3:15pm.
