Deputy Police Chief Could be Named This Week

MONDAY: All borough offices are closed today for President's Day. The public schools are closed all week for their February break.

TUESDAY: During Tuesday's nights Mayor and Council meeting, Police Capt. Kenneth Ehrenberg is expected to be named and promoted to the position of Deputy Police Chief.

The position, which serves as second-in-command to Chief Christopher Brock, has been vacant since Nov. 2010 when former Deputy Chief James Sheehan stepped down to retire.

WEDNESDAY: The Main Library is hosting the program "Soaring" for grades K-4, 3-3:45pm where children can learn the history of African-Americans in space and then construct their own rocket.

THURSDAY: While the Planning Board meeting has been cancelled, the Zoning Board of Adjustment will hear from Vornado Realty at 7:30pm to make modifications to the current REI building at the Bergen Town Center for a REd Robin Restaurant and Cups Yogust. 

FRIDAY: Celebrate National Pancake Month with the Library from 3-3:45pm.
