Funeral Arrangements Set For Paramus Wrestler Killed In Car Crash

Sebahie tragically died in a car crash early New Year's Day on the Garden State Parkway.

PARAMUS, NJ —Funeral arrangements for Alexander J. Sebahie, an ex-Paramus High School wrestler who was tragically killed in a car crash on New Year's Day, have been set.

Visitation with the family is Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus.

A funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 North Farview Ave., in Paramus. Interment is at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.

He is survived by his parents, Rosita and Issa; brothers, Michael, Brandon, and Anthony; and grandparents EstelaArias and Nabila Sebahie.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Higinio Arias and Antoine Sebahie.

A GoFundMe campaign was started Tuesday afternoon to raise money and support Sebahie's family. Nearly $20,000 was donated on the first day the campaign went live. The goal is to raise $25,000.

Sebahie, 21, was an elite wrestler while at Paramus High School, amassing more than 100 varsity wins. He wrestled in the 152-pound weight class and had a 32-6 record as a senior and won the North 1 Group 3 team championship, NorthJersey.com reported.
