Hats with Hugs Program Donates Hand-Knit Caps to Valley Hospital
Soft, attractive hand knit hats were given to cancer patients who are dealing with the effects of chemotherapy and hair loss.

The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell recently delivered hand knit and crocheted adult and baby caps to Valley Hospital’s Robert and Audrey Luckow Pavilion.
The hand knit hats are an ongoing project of the club’s Hats with Hugs program, chaired by Lee Rametta. This program provides attractive, soft, hand knit hats to cancer patients who are dealing with the effects of chemotherapy and hair loss and allow patients to go out in public feeling less self-conscious or cold.

When a patient receives one of these hats they know that someone cares.
The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell is a member of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, the largest volunteer women’s service organization in the state, providing opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service.
