Kim Carpenter, 57, Paramus Girl Scouts Leader, Soccer Coach Dies

She was coach for the elementary and middle school teams.

PARAMUS, NJ — Kim Aileen Carpenter dedicated her time to children.

She was a Girl Scouts troop leader and was an assistant soccer coach for the elementary and middle school girls' teams.

Carpenter, 57, of died Friday, her obituary states.

She was a "loving mother, wife, and best friend to many who knew her," the obituary states.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey, children Amanda and Lindsey, brother Brian Halm, and sister Noreen Laughlin, and her husband, Tom.

Visitation is Jan. 2 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus.

A funeral service is 9:30 a.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home Jan. 3 followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, in Ridgewood. Cremation will be private.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Immaculate Heart Academy Scholarship Fund, 500 Van Emburgh Ave., Washington Township, N.J. 07676.
