Mosque Hearing Postponed, Harlem Wizards Take The Court This Week

MONDAY: During the 8pm Board of Health meeting, Health Officer Judith Migliaccio will present her annual report to the public on the status of the community's health. 

TUESDAY: The Paramus Board of Education meets at 7:30pm in the Board Conference Room for a presentation on the high school social studies program with David Alloco. The board will also recognize those students who recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and were accepted into the All Stat Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble or the All North Jersey Junior Regional Orcehstra.

WEDNESDAY: Paramus High School will officially kick-off its Relay for Life plans from 6-8pm in the cafeteria. The theme for the June Relay is "Spartan Nation" Tonight We Bleed Purple" and has a greater meaning this year as borough residents Rob Bonastia, 19, and Thomas Caruso, 13, are currently battling cancer.

THURSDAY: With the Muslim Cultural Center application before the Zoning Board postponed until March 14, board members will instead from the Shelter Group to construct 139 unit congregate style living facility on Forest Avenue.

The Shelter Group received a use variance in 2012 for their living facility and have returned to the Zoning Board for additional parking and signage variances.

FRIDAY: Catch the Harlem Wizards at Paramus High School, 6pm as the Wizards once again face the Community All Stars including Mayor Richard LaBarbiera and school officials. Last year the Wizards defeated the Paramus locals 86-82 in a sold-out event.
