Nor'easter Snow Collapses Roof Of Paramus Home
The roof of a Paramus home collapsed Tuesday night after a nor'easter dumped over 20 inches of snow in parts of Bergen County.
PARAMUS, NJ — The roof of a home on Arbor Road in Paramus collapsed Tuesday night after a snow storm pummeled the area, dropping well over 20 inches of snow in parts of the county.
A resident called the Paramus Communication Center at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday to report the structure's collapse, Deputy Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
The Fire Department arrived on the scene shortly after and "conducted a search" of the collapsed structure, Guidetti said.

Renovation or demolition work was being done on the house, according to Fire Chief Mike Cleenput. He told Patch Thursday he believes the cause of the collapsed roof is likely split 50-50 between the excessive snowfall and the home's condition.
No injuries were reported, as the home was unoccupied at the time of the collapse.

The scene has been turned over to the building department, according to Cleenput and Guidetti.
