PARAMUS, NJ — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Paramus so you can start planning now.

July 2

Community Orchestra, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Raymond R. Wells Paramus Rotary Band Shell. The theme is Summer of 1969: Celebrating 50 Years of Music. The rain date is July 11.
July 4

Independence Day Parade, 9 a.m. to noon. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at the intersection of Century Road and Fairview Avenue. The parade will head north on Fairview Avenue and end at Memorial Elementary School. National wrestling champions Nick Suriano is the parade's grand marshal and will cut the ribbon.
July 6
The fourth annual Frank "Dutch" Cleenput softball game, 8:15 to 10:15 p.m. at the Cliff Gennarelli Sports-Plex. Paramus' firefighters and police officers will face off.
July 7
The annual fireworks show is Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Cliff Gennarelli Sports-Plex. There will be live entertainment by the Jumping Dragons, Raphael Valentino from iHeartRadio, and the Paramus Community Orchestra. Food trucks will be there selling food and beverages.
