Paramus Based Non-Profit to be Highlighted at NJ Devils Game April 3

The Dancer's Dream Fund will take part in the Devils' "Community Assist Program" and will receive a portion of the night's proceeds.

Press release:

The Dancer’s Dream Fund, a Paramus non-profit organization, will be the center of attention during a NJ Devils home game at The Prudential Center on April 3.

The NJ Devils have started a new fundraising and exposure opportunity this season called “The Community Assist Program,” in which they and the Prudential Center highlight a local 501(c)3 organization during home games at the arena. The non-profit of the evening receives a portion of proceeds of ticket sales generated by the organization in addition to receiving proceeds from a 50/50 raffle the NJ Devils host at the stadium the night of the game.

The non-profits are given space in the main concourse where they can set up a vendor’s booth to distribute marketing materials along with the airing of a Public Service Announcement about the organization on the Jumbotron during the game. Ticket holders that purchase tickets through the non-profit receive them at a discount and receive a free gift from the Devils, too.

“We received a phone call from ... Jason Cohen of The NJ Devils after he saw an article published in [Patch] in regard to one of our programs, Adopt-a-Dancer,” said Monica Byrne, President of The Dancer’s Dream Fund. “We set up a meeting the following week, took a tour of the Prudential Center and then he extended the invitation to us. We are thrilled and extremely grateful for the opportunity to raise money and awareness for our charity.”

The Dancer’s Dream Fund was started by four dance moms that wanted to give back to the community.

“We raise money through various events, fundraising and direct contributions and then use the funds to help local disadvantage children through scholarships, grants and programs to fuel their love of dance and the performing arts,” Byrne said.
