Cancer Claims The Life Of Paramus Catholic Senior Nicole Minson

PARAMUS, NJ — Paramus Catholic senior Nicole Minson has died.

Minson fought a valiant battle against cancer. A gofundme campaign was launched Friday to help her battle the disease. Nearly $5,500 was donated as of Sunday night.

"Paramus Catholic is a family," said Caroline McGarry the gofundme page's organizer. "We are one and everyone is deeply affected regardless of the relationship they shared with her. Not a day will go by that she is not missed. She has touched so many people throughout her life on earth and there is not a doubt in my mind she will continue to do so."

Minson was a member of the school's dance team.

"The Paramus Catholic family mourns together in the loss of Nicole Minson. Nicole was a cherished student at Paramus Catholic and will be deeply missed. Words cannot begin to explain the pain felt by all. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel today," Principal Stephanie Macaluso said. "On behalf of the Paramus Catholic community, our prayers go out to the Minson family during this difficult time."

The dance team expressed its sorrow on Twitter.
