Paramus Catholic's Rashan Gary Drafted By Green Bay Packers
Gary was one of the most highly-recruited players the nation coming out of Paramus Catholic. He played for the University of Michigan.

PARAMUS, NJ — Rashan Gary, the once highly-touted Paramus Catholic prospect, was picked by the Green Bay Packers with the 12th pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Gary played defensive end at the University of Michigan. Various mock drafts had Gary projected to be selected Thursday, the first day of the draft.
Gary was a five-star recruit in the Class of 2016. He dominated the competition and was named New Jersey's top defensive player in 2014 and 2015.

At Michigan, Gary was named a first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2017 as a sophomore when he had 66 tackles, including 12 for a loss and six sacks in 13 starts.
But an assessment by the NFL stated Gary's production as a pass rusher "failed to match his traits and talent" and lacks the "instincts and awareness."

Chris Partridge, one of Gary's coaches at Michigan and Paramus Catholic, defended him on Twitter Tuesday, saying:
Don't worry about those who hate, they are miserable for a reason. Keep your dreams in front of you and the clowns behind you! #RashanGary pic.twitter.com/prZkzGrNan
