One man is charged after a dispute at a Route 17 gas station led to a stabbing. The victim is in stable condition, according to police.
PARAMUS, NJ — A Paramus gas station attendant was stabbed in the chest after an argument with a customer around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police said.
Kevin Reid, 38, of Far Rockaway, New York, is charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession after police say a "verbal argument over the use of Reid's Speedway pass" led to a fight, in which Reid stabbed an employee in the chest.
Police found the victim, Sevaughn Hutchison, 23, of East Orange, at 1:23 p.m. in the parking lot at the Speedway gas station on Route 17. Hutchison was "bleeding from a stab wound to his chest," and officers and EMS "immediately began medical treatment."
