Paramus Houlihan's Debuts New Look, $5 Happy Hour Menu

PARAMUS, NJ – Houlihan’s has debuted a fresh, new look, along with new menu that includes a $5 happy hour, earlier this week.

Upgrades to the Route 4 restaurant and bar include new awnings, lighting and décor, along with an updated music playlist that’s “a bit more current, upbeat and sets a new tone,” according to Houlihan’s

The location is also one of three Houlihan’s in the northeast that will be testing out a $5 happy hour menu.

The menu includes popular cocktails, such as mules, mojitos and margaritas, as well as bar food, like burgers.

Happy Hour runs Monday to Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. to close, and on weekends from 10 p.m. until closing time.

“Happy Hour is very popular in Paramus, so we knew it was important to make some changes that will appeal to our current guests, as well as attract new guests,” HRI, Inc.’s (HRI) chief executive officer, Mike Archer, said. “We’re confident that the launch of the new happy hour, appropriately named ‘The $5 Spot,’ will quickly become a favorite.”

The regular lunch and dinner menus also underwent some changes to now include a separate page that provides “at a glance meatless options.”

And, for a limited time only, Paramus will be offering a fall test kitchen menu, featuring dishes such as Sedona shrimp pasta and a seared salmon pesto and turkey club.

After Houlihans, took over 17 restaurants in New Jersey and New York from a franchisee last year, management decided to make upgrades to some locations.

“Our goal with this refresh was ensuring our overall experience feels updated for our guests, while at the same time delivering excellence at all touchpoints,” said Bill Leibengood, chief marketing officer for HRI, Inc. “We are also thrilled that Saad Gerges had returned as the general manager for the Paramus restaurant. Saad is a long-time staple in Paramus and is well-known to so many of our guests. He’s the perfect person to lead this Houlihan’s.”
