Paramus Schools On Track For 5 In-Person Learning Days
All cohorts are set to merge, paving the way for in-person learning to resume five days a week starting March 22 in Paramus.
PARAMUS, NJ — Paramus students are slated to resume full-time in-person learning before the end of the month.
Superintendent Sean Adams announced a plan to transition to in-person learning five days a week starting March 22, which will include a merger of all cohorts of students.
This comes after an increased desire across the district to return to in-person learning, specifically, Adams said, among those in grades five and eight. The response was almost overwhelming, and it momentarily seemed like fifth and eighth graders could even be delayed in returning to the classroom full time.

But a solution was quickly found, and those students will be on the same schedule as the rest of the district, Adams announced.
"This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the ongoing collaboration, support, and exchange of ideas between the schools and the community that has been fostered throughout this school year," wrote Adams.

So what will this transition look like?
Virtual Mondays will be phased out of the district, and beginning March 22 those days will be converted to in-person learning days.
Arrival and dismissal times will remain the same, but there could be some shifting in terms of class locations and reallocation of staff.
This comes days before a group of Paramus parents were set to rally for five days of in-person learning. That group, Paramus Parent Council for Kids, has canceled the rally, according to a Facebook post.
