Paramus Skier Competing in NJ Special Olympics

The athlete will compete in the giant slalom, super-G, and time trial events.

PARAMUS, NJ — A borough athlete will compete in three events at the 2019 Special Olympics of New Jersey at Mountain Creek in Vernon.

Linda Kent is participating in the intermediate giant slalom, intermediate super-G, and intermediate time trial Tuesday.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics New Jersey. Six participants from the Bayonne Recreation Department and 12 from the E.R. Johnstone Training center in Bordentown represented New Jersey at the Eastern Regional Special Olympics at the University of Maryland in 1969.
