Paramus Woman Dies 1 Day Before Her Birthday And Anniversary

PARAMUS, NJ — A borough woman known for her "steadfast faith" died Sunday, one day before her 94th birthday and 69th wedding anniversary, her obituary states.

Betty K. Sharry was also known for her love of reading and was a passionate college football fan, her obituary from Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Paramus states.

"There is nothing Betty enjoy more than spending time with her family," the obituary states. "We will miss her unconditional love and her joy for the simple things in life."

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; children Donna, and her husband, Tom Landers of Ridgewood and Raymond; and grandchildren Alyssa, Daniel, Jennifer, Alexandra, Kyle, and Christopher.

Visitation with the family is Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus. A funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
