Saved from Death Row, Apricot Seeks Good Home

This week's featured pets at PetSmart.

Chance at Life Cat Rescue is at PetSmart from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. This week they are showing three cats who are up for adoption. They are Apricot, Mary and Matthew.

Apricot, a 10 month old orange and white American shorthair mix had not had an easy life so far. Surrended by her owner due to allergies in early January, the frightened kitten made a bad first impression at a Manhattan shelter was was deemed "aggressive" and placed on "Death Row".

She was released to Chance at Life on Jan. 22 after a subsequent re-evaluation on Jan. 15 showed good marks for behavior although she remained on "Death Row" until her release. This rarity with burtn orange coloring, white bib and paws somehow feel through the cracks and now seeks a "Chance at Life" with her new forever home.
