School Presents Final Budget Hearing, HS Performs "Legally Blonde" This Week
Here's a sneak peek of what's coming up in Paramus this week
MONDAY: Gilda's Club of Northern New Jersey has joined with Monster Mini Golf in Paramus for a Glow-in-the-Dark Par-Tee fundraising event from 4-7pm with all proceeds to benefit Gilda's Club. TUESDAY: The latest Paramus Parent Education Meeting is scheduled for 7:30pm at the high school cafeteria as Thom Stecher discusses "Coping Skills for a Successful Middle School Child." His presentation will guide parents through the overwhelming distractions and obstacles their child may be dealing with and what parents can do to help their child cope.Â
The Mayor and Council meet at 7pm for a work session followed by a 7:45pm public meeting.

WEDNESDAY:Â The Paramus Public Library's Ladies Night Out Book Group will discuss "Labor Day" by Joyce Maynard at 7pm. The coming-of-age novel is set in New Hampshire as protaganist Henry recounts the Labor Day weekend when he was 13 years old.
THURSDAY: The Board of Education, which introduced its $83 million budget for the 2013-2014 school year in early March will hold its public hearing at 7pm at the Board Conference Room. The overall tax levy increase is slightly under 2 percent which would amount to a $79 increase for the average homeowner.

THE WEEKEND: The Paramus High School drama program presents its' spring musical "Legally Blonde" on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm. The musical is based off the film of the same name and follows soriety sister Elle Woods as she heads to Harvard Law. Tickets are $7-$10 per person and can be ordered online.
The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Satuday, March 23rd at Petruska Park. Preschoolers will start their hunt at 10am, kindergarten at 10:30am, and first grade and up at 11am. In the event of inclement weather the Easter Egg Hunt will be held indoors at East Brook School. If the weather is questionable on March 23, call the Recreation Office answering maching (201-265-9321) after 9:30am to learn of any changes.
