Spartans Claim Four District Titles on the Mat
Brittany Stone completes her junior season with over 1,250 points

Just edged out of a District 5 team title, the Paramus Spartans claimed four individual titles as Joe Trovato (120), Alex Sebahie (126), Justin Cochran (132) and Brandon LoPresti (160) downed the competition. Teammates Laith Abwini (138), Nick Spinoso (145), Nick Bucci (170), Brandon Sebahie (182), Matt Tozzi (220) and Brandon Manosalvas (285) finished in second place while Nick Pettineo (106) was third and Anthony Agnello (152) in fourth place.
Paramus Catholic, which finished sixth overall in District 6 had three wrestlers reach the finals and all claim second place. Owen Woods (113), Zack Cavallaro (120) and Marcus Mantoja (285) took second place, William Duby III (138) was third, and Michael Scaravilli and Justin Costello (170) both finished in fourth place.

Basketball
Brittany Stone made history in January when she . And the high-powered junior has now completed her junior year with over 1,250 points after the Lady Paladins fell in the North 1 Group 2 state tournament 53-30 to Northern Highlands.
Paramus Catholic claimed the Bergen Invitational Title with an 82-71 victory over Northern Highlands in a final quarter surge as Kareem Coston banked a team high 24 points. Coston was also named Most Valuable Player and went on to lead the Paladins in a 72-68 win over St. Joseph Regional in the state tournament.

The Lady Paladins inside duo Corinne Poitevien (10 points) and Dejah Taylor (eight points, 11 reobounds) led PC to a halftime lead against Mount St. Dominic in the state tournament and then secured the 49-31 win in the final quarter.
Ice Hockey
Paramus Catholic has been busy on the ice by first picking up the Big North Gold Cup title with a 4-3 sweep over Ridgewood through an early 2-1 first period lead and then held off the resurging Maroons late in the final minutes.
The Paladins started their state tournament run with a 5-2 win over St. Rose and at the same time earned their 25th win of the season. The win was also the Paladins first state tournament win since 2008. The Paladins followed through with another state win, this time a 3-2 overtime thriller over Notre Dame as Brian Nagy scored the winning tally.
Indoor Track
At the State Meet of Champions, Mike Secreti of Paramus finished 25th in the 3,200 while Lady Paladin Tatiyanna Sanders finished in 8th place in the high jump and 17th in the 55m dash.
