11-Year-Old Child, Woman Found Dead In Morris County Pond
The two bodies pulled from the water in Grace Lord Park were discovered with an unattended six-year-old.
BOONTON, NJ — Morris County authorities are investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman and an 11-year-old child Tuesday, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's office.
Law enforcement was dispatched to the Upper Pond section of Grace Lord Park in Boonton on Tuesday night after receiving a report of an unattended child.
While searching the area, police found a 6 year old unharmed but also discovered the bodies of a 35-year-old female and an approximately 11-year-old child in the water.

The identity of the deceased is not being released by officials at this time. Speaking at a press conference, officials confirmed the bodies were discovered shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Authorities noted this is a joint investigation being conducted by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Morris County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, Boonton Police Department Detective Bureau and Boonton Fire Department Swiftwater Rescue Team.
