For 2 Straight Weeks, No New COVID Cases In Parsippany Schools
Much like New Jersey, new COVID-19 cases at Parsippany-Troy Hills schools is becoming far less common.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — Much like New Jersey, new COVID-19 cases at Parsippany-Troy Hills schools is becoming far less common. For the second straight week, the district reported zero new cases on its virus dashboard.
The dashboard's available data goes back to Jan. 18. From that time through April 19, the district reported at least 10 cases in 13 of 14 weeks — peaking at 27 new cases the week of March 8.
But since mid-April, new cases have tailed off and reflected the following:

- four new cases the week of April 26
- eight new cases the week of May 3
- two new cases each in the weeks of May 10 and 17
- zero new cases for the weeks of May 24 and June 1
Officials reported only four new cases in the township this past week, bringing Morris County's largest town to 4,243 cases since the pandemic began.
New Jersey's most recent COVID-19 activity report puts North and Central Jersey at "moderate" COVID-19 risk. Three South Jersey counties have "low" risk, according to the report, which considers factors such as case rates, the prevalence of COVID-like symptoms and positivity rates.
