PARSIPPANY, NJ — A three-car crash also downed a traffic pole Thursday evening on Route 46. A Parsippany man who received summonses told police he experienced a glare from the sun, according to the crash report.
The accident took place at 6:55 p.m. Thursday at Route 46 and Cherry Hill Road. A Mercedes driver travelled southbound on Cherry Hill Road. While the driver made a turn, a BMW drove straight in the same direction, to the first driver's right.
Kevin Zarro reached Cherry Hill Road and told police that by the time he got his hand over his eyes to block the sun, his front bumper hit another vehicle, according to the crash report. The three vehicles collided, causing Zarro's to strike a curb and hit a traffic-signal pole, police said.
