6.2K Without Power In Parsippany As Storm Rolls Through
Breaking: A quarter of the town is without power as of 5:15 p.m.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A quarter of Parsippany homes are without power as a powerful thunderstorm rolls through Morris County. As of 5 p.m., 6,252 of Parsippany's 24,061 JCP&L serviced homes are without power.
Because the outage is storm related, JCP&L cannot currently say when power will be back on. The company said earlier on Tuesday they were monitoring the storm.
The worst of the storm is expected to clear by 7 p.m., but flash flooding, lightning, hail, and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour are possible until then. A flash flood watch also is in place from 4 p.m. Tuesday through 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.
