8 Months Later, Ricky The Pit, Lab Mix Still Looking For A Home

It's been a long eight months for Ricky, who just wants to go home to his new family.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — It's been a long eight months for Ricky, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier & Labrador Retriever mix who just wants to go home.

Billed as their longest resident, the four-year-old dog has been with a Wise Animal Rescue foster family since July 2018. Ricky is fulled trained and loves other dogs and all humans, including children, the rescue says. He's about 50 pounds.

"Our beautiful, dog and child friendly boy Ricky is still in search of his family. He is the most affectionate, happy dog and he deserves a wonderful home!" they say.

"I love to go on walks. Being on the move means I get to meet more people--the best! I love walks almost as much as I love my tennis balls. I can frequently be seen carrying around my favorite ball in my mouth. I could play fetch forever...well at least until it's nap time. My foster family says I am quite the cuddle bug and could lay next to you on the couch or snuggled up in bed for hours!" Ricky "says" in a profile on PetFinder.

He is currently being fostered with two other dogs and a teenager; he has never met a cat before (the rescue says they can arrange a meeting if cat-friendliness is a concern).
