Award-Winning Children's Musician to Perform in Parsippany

Next stop on the "Big Jeff" tour is the Lake Parsippany Clubhouse on Jan. 16.

If you’ve caught yourself or a nearby parent lamenting over the lack of family-friendly music on the airwaves these days, tuning into the songs from children’s musician, “Big Jeff,” might be just the thing.

The New Jersey-based children’s singer, songwriter and guitarist will appear at the Lake Parsippany Clubhouse on Friday, Jan. 16, to entertain, engage and instill a love of music in his young audience members.

Jeff DeSmedt, the six-foot-six musician who adopted the fitting stage-name “Big Jeff,” got his start 13 years ago while writing songs for his daughter.

Seeing how much his daughter and her daycare friends enjoyed his music, DeSmedt developed a loyal fan base for “Big Jeff” and began traveling throughout the New York Metropolitan area to perform. “Big Jeff” has now toured along the east and west coasts and sold over ten thousand CDs and DVDs.

Watch a video of “Big Jeff” performing his song, “Three Letter Words,” below.

Friday’s concert begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $5 per family. Clubhouse parking space is limited, so the venue encourages guests to carpool. Both members and non-members of the clubhouse are welcome to attend.

For more information about this and other “Big Jeff” performances, visit his website, Facebook page, or call 973-503-0333.

Lake Parsippany Clubhouse, located at 701 Lake Shore Drive in Parsippany, hosts a number of events throughout the month, including a book club and a Super Bowl party. See the Lake Parsippany Clubhouse online event calendar for details.
