PARSIPPANY, NJ — It's getting hot out there, so one deer in the Parsippany area coped by jumping into somebody's swimming pool. The plan to cool off went perfectly until it hit a snag: it's not so easy for deer to walk out of pools.

But Parsippany Animal Control was there to help. Officers Kimberly Jensen and Kaitlin Kopshaw were there to help the deer out so he could run off to safety.

The Parsippany Animal Shelter is open by appointment only because of COVID-19. To contact animal control or the shelter, call 973-263-7083 or email shelter@parpolice.com.
