Driver Killed In Fiery Crash In Parsippany

Police are still looking into the driver's identity for the Route 80 crash.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A driver died Monday night in a fiery crash on Route 80. Authorities are still looking into the man's identity, according to State Police.

The crash took place at 9:08 p.m. Monday on Route 80 West's milepost 41.5. Preliminary investigation indicates the Nissan Pathfinder ran off the left side of the roadway, into the center median and struck several trees before, State Police said.

The car became engulfed in flames, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
