Route 10 Reopened After Crash Snarled Traffic For 12 Hours

The single-vehicle crash involved a utility pole and caused a traffic jam and power outages

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Parsippany Police confirmed that all lanes are open on Route 10 after a Thursday morning crash which caused a total, and then partial, shutdown of the westbound side.

Police said there were no serious injuries as a result of the accident, which occurred around 7 a.m. near the Tabor Road exit. The crash involved a single vehicle and a utility pole, resulting in westbound lanes being closed and some local residents losing power.

One of the westbound lanes was opened around 12:30 p.m., but the second remained closed until Thursday evening, while utility crews worked to restore electricity.
