'Globe Of Death' Causes North Jersey Traffic Jam
The popular circus feature tied up traffic on a major North Jersey road when it fell off the back of a truck.

JEFFERSON, NJ — A Globe of Death caused strong reactions in Jefferson Wednesday afternoon— no, not because of any cool stunts, but because of the traffic jam it caused when it fell off of a truck.
The globe, a giant spherical metal cage, came off the back of a truck around 1:30 p.m. on Route 15, North Jersey Herald reported. Route 15 was down to one lane for at least an hour while police worked to clear the heavy pieces of metal.
Jefferson Police Det. Joe Kratzel said there were no injuries, and no summons have been issued as of Thursday afternoon. Traffic was back to normal before the evening rush hour.

The globe was part of Cycle Circus, a biking show with stunts and pyrotechnics. It was leaving Skylands Stadium after a series of weekend shows when it fell apart, the paper reported.
