PEQUANNOCK, NJ — Tricksters taking the entire contents of candy bowls have been a problem for as long as Halloween had been around. This year, the tricksters took things too far, and the Pequannock Township Police Department had to get involved.

Ten different bowls of candy— including the bowl themselves— were swiped from front porches in the township last night, police said. The value of the bowls and the candy was probably around $200, police estimated.

"On a serious note folks, the individuals involved in the thefts of multiple bowls of candy have been located. Please call the police desk if one of the pictured bowls belongs to you. We will have an officer return it," police said.
