Girl Superstars Wanted - Area GOTR Needs Signups ASAP!

Girls on the Run needs more girls in grades 3-5 to have a fall session. Practice starts at Vet's Park Mon and Wed 6-7:15pm next week.

Girls on the Run is so excited to be able to offer GOTR @ Veterans Park again this fall, however, we need 8 girls minimum to run the session!

The season is set to begin next week, so please sign up today at http://www.girlsontherunnj.org.

There are 5 excited girls currently registered, who are eager to have at least 3 more of their sisters-in-sneakers show up. Female coaches are laced up and eager to start the season. Girls don't have to be Parsippany residents or seasoned runners - they just have to want to put their best foot forward.

Today was #GOTRSpirit Day and my daughter and I proudly wore our hard-earned GOTR wear from last fall's 5K. Sign up for the season & the 5K and you'll have one, too!

Highlights of GOTR:

  • The focus isn't running, it's on improving each time (who isn't on board with that?)
  • There are silly activities that create fun times among new and old friends
  • Girls and their families can run/walk/hop/skip a 5K at season end
  • There are well-developed weekly lessons on topics such as being assertive and being a good friend

Here's what my daughter has to say about Girls on the Run:

"Sign up for Girls on the Run! It teaches you things you don't learn in school. You don't just run, you do fun activities and games. And, at the end you get to run a 5K with all your friends."

learn. dream. live. run.
