Morris County Organizes Events To Collect Hazardous Waste

Parsippany and Chatham will both play hosts during hazardous waste collection events.

It's a good time to clean out garages, basements, and those hard-to-reach corners under your sink, especially if you've been using those out-of-sight spots to store trash you just didn't know where to dump.

The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority is giving residents a chance to unload hazardous waste in two events this year, on September 10 and October 1. Hazardous waste includes those boxy computers whose parts couldn't make the transition into the digital age, batteries, pool chemicals, and even stores of used cooking oil.

One of the events will be held in Parsippany, while the other will be in Chatham.
