New BBQ Joint Open In Rockaway

ROCKAWAY, NJ — Smoke & Steer, a new barbecue restaurant, celebrated their grant opening in Rockaway this weekend.

Located at 321 Mount Hope Ave, the restaurant serves meat from local regional farms, and is a "whole-hog" joint, meaning they use every part of the pig. Some menu options include pulled pork, rib-eye steaks and chopped beef featuring brisket and short ribs, and side dishes like corn bread and mac and cheese.

• Everything was so delicious and service was great, friendly, and fast. Everything was so fresh! The BBQ pork belly was so delightful. The cheese steak was phenomenal. Also the corn and macaroni and cheese sides were on point, so tasty! Bringing my whole family back
• Delicious food and perfect location! Pulled pork was so tender and flavorful and mac n cheese and corn are fan faves. I will definitely be trying the Mac And Stack next time! Friendly staff and owners even came out to see us. So glad we made it out for opening day and this is sure to be a ‘go to’ place for our family!
• Delicious food and friendly staff. The cheesesteak was great, it's made with rib eye and you can tell that it's great quality farm to table freshness. Loved the twist to the chili which wasn't just regular groundbeef, I was excited to get the actual piece of meat in there. Mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, corn, mac and cheese and corn bread all yummy as well. So satisfying!!!
• Had the pleasure of eating here last week after discovering them open. The food was top notch! The owner came over and checked on us, introduced himself and even gave us a little background of he and his wife's planning. Everyone there is very friendly. It's very clean.We couldn't be happier for them and it's so nice to have a place for real Smoke and Steer!
