Not very encouraging especially in a society such as ours.. The small print acts more like a buyer beware than any encouragement; or reward for helping ourselves into a sustainable future for all..

If they really wanted people to switch the prices would be lower not higher. They appear insignificantly higher for example 10.50 cents Monthly KWh usage as compared to 9.50 cents. However reading the fine print is discouraging, as multiple hidden charges are factored in and left up to the discretion of the supplier so-called what appear to be names for the same multiple "ancillary services". So it appears a customer, or customers can be easily exploited in a cumulative profit charge scheme. Also if renewal services are not available, what whatever reason, the fossil fuel sources will be used. How can such a system based on individual choice be trusted?

Without mass government intervention and subsides in the renewal energy, it is doomed to continue; shall we say in a Texas like manner. With no real government oversight of the "Public Utility" it can be too easily misused to exploit individual customers, despite the fact one can disengage at any time, in "this case", without charges.

The obvious profit motive is woven into the ploy of the energy conversation; most likely for CEO bonus than the needs of humanity. As the Biosphere become more and more entropic; and earths ecosystems services are damaged or injured beyond return. the Time for good government as it's reason for establishment on this earth to be deployed.

Without good government we are doomed. No economic interest, under any circumstances, can ever be above the reverence for life. A huge part of the problem is the Jeffersonian notion that " the government that governs best is the one that governs least". While it is true as regards individual liberties, it is absolutely dangerous to think that way as regards economy..

We have the exact opposite in our system of corporations are people laissez faire system of parts over wholes.

Until America returns to its beginnings and uses government to do what it is intended to do in a sense of democracy not power and control, we will continue to live the myth of progress toward the unsustainable future and death of the planets complex systems of ecology or life itself.

If money remains the only value imposed by the ruling class, we will remain in a state of entropic death steps. Money is and can only be an imaginary mis measurement of true value, as money serves the interest of power, not the interest of the people who produce this value. Wealth or financial imaginary vales do not reflect the wholesomeness of a society or a wise people allegedly governed in a democracy or a republic. At present out tax system disenfranchises democracy, reason; and science itself. No economy is possible in the absence of eco-system services. The economy is a sub-system of a larger and finite system , the biosphere, hence permanent growth is impossible.

How can any economy exist outside the very laws of nature? yet ours does! In fact we live in a system that allows; supports economic crimes against the planet and humanity...(the plastic pollution phenomena as a norm is one evident form of this crime)
