New Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Release Cat Program In Parsippany

The new Parsippany program is looking for volunteers as it gets going.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — The Parsippany Animal Shelter is looking for volunteers to help get its new trap, neuter, vaccine, and release program off the ground.

The program is what it sounds like: volunteers trap feral cats and take them in long enough to neuter and vaccinate them before releasing them back into the world. This approach is known to keep cat populations and disease rates down.

Some volunteer opportunities include trapping, transport for surgeries, fostering kittens, fundraising, and clerical duties. More information will be released, including meeting and training, and trapping dates.
