Parsippany Alum Combats School Bullying Through Assembly Programs
Ashley Tobias will bring her "Be True To You" assembly program to her alma mater in Parsippany.
Ashley Tobias, the creator of the "Be True to You" program that takes on the issue of bullying in a method that children can undertand, will be returning to Parsippany to coach elementary school students.
Tobias, who received the 2016 United Nation's Youth Peace Award, will present the programs during assemblies scheduled on October 19, 26, and 27. Through her work developing the anti-bullying program, she continues to prove that children's lives can be changed with the power of music.
Tobias graduated from the Montclair State University and has performed in off-Broadway shows and served as back-up to Grammy winning artists. Before her music career, she grew up in Parsippany.
