PARSIPPANY, NJ — A Parsippany man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl after offering to give her a ride home, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp.
Deonarini Jairam, 38, of Parsippany, was arrested on Friday, three days after the alleged assault, Knapp said. Jairam was driving in Morris Township when he offered to give the girl, a 16-year-old whom officials did not name, a ride home, Knapp said.
While driving her home, Jairam is accused of touching the girl, and offering her money in exchange for sex. The girl refused, and Jairam sexually assaulted her, Knapp said.
