Parsippany Offering Tree Seedlings To Replace Those Damaged By Sandy
Free trees available to all New Jersey residents, county officials say.

It’s been more than three years since Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on the northeast and devastated thousands of trees in New Jersey, but the effects can still be felt in 2016.
The New Jersey Tree Recover Campaign in conjunction with nonprofit Arbor Day Foundation is providing 102,000 free tree seedlings to state residents across 145 participating towns.
Eleven of those towns are in Morris as well as Hopatcong in Sussex County.
Towns that registered to take part will receive up to 2,000 tree seedlings for distribution to residents. Any resident is eligible to receive up to five free seedlings at any of the distribution locations and does not need to provide proof of residency in the community of distribution, the county said.
