Number of Parsippany Robberies Rise From 2012

Statistics show most crime has dropped in Parsippany in 2013 through September compared to last year.

The New Jersey State Police released an updated version of the Uniform Crime Reports from September 2012-13. 

Parsippany PD saw drops in totals of almost category listed from January to September 2012 compared to January to September 2013. Total robberies increased by 55.6 percent in 2013. 

Also, although the number of burglaries remain low compared to last year, the recent string of burglaries in the area may change that.

The numbers below represent the total number of arrests made in each category as reported by the State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety Division of State Police Uniform Crime Reporting Unit.

  • Firearm - 1
  • Knife or Cutting Instrument - 1
  • Other Dangerous Weapon - 1
