The $5,000,000 Budget Deficit Catch Up
As Councilwoman McCarthy has explained this is the result of past administrations using monies entrusted for other purposes, water/sewer infrastructure that is now failing; with no cost avoidance scenario in properly seeing this eventual inevitability. If we factor in the past history of not protecting our groundwater recharge areas in favor of corporate developers we see our Overdeveloped and Vacant buildings result. We have failing water infrastructure, and well depletion and water deficits.

What Good Has the Ratable Chase done Parsippany
We must also ask; what good has the corporate tax-rateable chase done for Parsippany besides set us up for the Housing Frenzie? A Housing Fiasco where the issue is affordable living space while luxury and market will bear is the domineering outcome. Then ponder why the past administration and it's corporate developer attorney allowed PILOT Deals, as in the 1515 Route 10 and the most bizarre the UPS office complex PILOT deal. In 2014 about that time UPS profited $14 Billion. The boast at the time, was the ratables were keeping our local taxes stable. Then why were we using water/sewer surplus?

No Marijuana Here. Denied Ratable Opportunity
Also remember when certain Council members voted against their own mass community movement to save the "last of the hills of Troy" aka Waterview, the reason being; "we need another tax ratable". Now we have a new opportunity for ratables from legal marijuana sales. Despite numerous empty structures of Over-development these same Council Members oppose for personal and hypothetical reasons are denying the ratables for this new possibility under the law. ..The Anti-Marijuana Resolution was shelved hopefully to allow the rateable after all.

The Disunited States Disenfranchised
All problems in the United States; or the problems of “American Civilization” is that we fail to see how political centralization strengthens rather than weakens local governments and the health of local communities. When the Federal Power which takes most of our tax dollars, and uses them for this Defense against their self-created enemies instead of investing it in the States of its own Republic, we can truly say we are not being served; and receive little in return as citizens, while our Corporate Military Complex thrives on war as economy, and exploitation of others for their resources to support our exuberant way of life allowed the few in the name of the many. An economy to nowhere that lives outside the laws of nature, an economy of waste; unsustainable, making all life weaker, in a form of corporate anarchy.

When a system lives beyond its means and fails to recognize limits ,living outside the laws of nature and its power class evades their tax responsibility to a common good.

What good is safety and security without economic equity and a fair tax system

We have Homeland Security, but we have no real practical method of strengthening democracy in securing or protecting economic security through a tax system that serves the people needs through , health, education, banking, the arts or ecological paradigm. The Private economy of Wall Street lives outside the laws of nature without limits and presents a danger to the republic and now the planet itself.

Without good government we are doomed. No economic interest, under any circumstances, can ever be above the reverence for life. A huge part of the problem is the Jeffersonian notion that " the government that governs best is the one that governs least". While it is true as regards individual liberties, it is absolutely dangerous to think that way as regards economy..

We need to end the musical chair politics that have impeded our democracy and end senseless political party quibbling . We need to live in a new Ecological Paradigm. The Trump episode showed us how fragile this republic is and still stands in danger from the forces of corporate power over the government established by and for the people..

The world is a long way from 1776; and with all the religions, and scientific discoveries of the world, we have not progressed in any way toward the values we pretend to live by under god or man made law. The Planet's biosphere is now in a state of entropy; no longer in dynamic equilibrium the economy is now the enemy. Nature is the giver of all life; the ground of any economy, the reason any exuberance was possible, nature has limits, and thresholds, now it's demise and our lack of ecological knowledge or wisdom by man will be our demise also. Technology will not save us; only our seeing in an ecological way can we have any hope.

If the Biden Administration adheres to this; a Green new Deal will be possible

Ecology is the meaning of life. Humankind's demand for resources and growth overwhelms nature, our steady diminishment of ecosystems abruptly changes climate, and this is collapsing the biosphere. No species such as man himself; being exceptional, can live outside the laws of nature, we are a part of not a part from; We see now finally progress is a hoax.
