Parsippany Schools Pulls Plug On In-Person Learning Until 2021
Superintendent of Schools Barbara Sargent said increased COVID cases will keep the district fully remote through the holidays.
PARSIPPANY, NJ - Citing an increase in COVID-19 cases and staff members isolating due to exposure, Superintendent of Schools Barbara Sargent has pulled the plug on in-person learning until 2021.
Effective Monday, Parsippany-Troy Hills Schools will transition to their Distance Learning model.
“Due to increased cases of COVID-19 and the number of staff members self-isolating as a result of family or school contacts, it is becoming challenging to properly staff our schools," Sargent said. "We will remain in Fully Remote status through the holiday break. I will monitor the regional health data and communicate additional information by the end of December.”
