Parsippany Snow Updates: Thursday
Breaking: Drivers should avoid being out on the road if they can.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Some roads are closed and others remain impassible in Parsippany and hundreds of residents are without power in the wake of Wednesdays snow storm.
"JCP&L has not indicated a timeframe for the full restoration of power to the township. While we expect that power will be restored to most residents relatively soon, all residents should prepare to be without power for a matter of days, not hours," town officials said.

Main Roads:
- East Halsey Road between Parsippany Road and Jefferson Road
- Park Road is closed at multiple locations
- Reynolds Ave between Smith Road and Bee Meadow Parkway
- South Beverwyck Road at Lord Stirling Drive

- Numerous roads are closed or partially obstructed throughout the town.
The traffic signals on Littleton Road (Route 202) between Rita Drive and Campus Drive are out. Please proceed through the area with caution.
"If your street has not been plowed please do not attempt to drive down it. The snow is deep and we are getting calls for vehicles becoming disabled in the middle of the road. If your road is cleared, it does not mean the rest of your route will be. Please check traffic conditions and refrain from driving if possible. Multiple trees and wires have come down and blocked numerous roadways," police said just after 7 a.m.

Parsippany currently has 12,725 homes without power. JCP&L has resumed restoration work, but have not said when they expect power to be back on.
The PAL (33 Baldwin Road) and Parsippany Community Center (1130 Knoll Road) are open as warming centers.
