Parsippany Student Named Among Best Musicians In Morris

Michelle Inn joins 10 peers as Mayo PAC honorees.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Michelle Inn is just a junior at Parsippany High School, but she’s already spent two years as the trumpet section leader in the marching band.

It’s because of that success Inn has been nominated and named as a Mayo Performing Arts Center Music Student Of The Month.

Inn was nominated by teacher Gregory Dalakian, who wrote:

Michelle Inn has served as our Trumpet Section Leader in the PHS Marching Band for the last two years. She is a great player and excellent role model to her peers. She works relentlessly as a Section Leader to motivate and improve her section. Just this past season, Michelle had a very exposed trumpet solo during a part of our field show and nailed it every time! She is an outstanding band member on and off the field and a great representation of what our marching band stands for: Pride, Honor, and Spirit. I hope you consider Michelle Inn for this great honor.

Inn was joined by 10 other students from around Morris County who have excelled in their own horn sections. The group was honored at the Morristown theatre on Thursday, Jan. 7.
