Webber, Barranco Earn 26th District Primary Republican Nomination

NORTH JERSEY - Votes-by-mail, by drop box and in-person have been cast and incumbent Jay Webber and Christian Barranco have earned the Republican Party's nomination for 26th District Assembly, according to the Associated Press.

In the Garden State's 26th legislative district, there were four Republicans on the ballot for a pair of Assembly seats. Webber of Morris Plains and Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce of Parsippany are facing off against Christian Barranco of Jefferson and Thomas Mastrangelo of Montville to earn their party's nomination for the general election this November.

Two candidates are running unopposed in for the Democrats: Melissa Brown Blaeuer and Pamela Fadden from Oak Ridge.

• Christian Barranco: 6,858
• BettyLou DeCroce: 6,370
• Thomas Mastrangelo: 5,743

Also running in the 26th district is incumbent Republican Senator Joseph Pennacchio of Montville and Democrat Christine Clarke of Lake Hopatcong. They are uncontested for their party's nomination.

The 26th district includes the Essex County communities of Fairfield Township, North Caldwell Borough, Verona Township and West Caldwell Township; the Morris County municipalities of Butler Borough, Jefferson Township, Kinnelon Borough, Lincoln Park Borough, Montville Township, Morris Plains Borough, Parsippany-Troy Hills Township and Rockaway Township; along with the Passaic County community of West Milford Township.
