Robber Shoves Woman, Steals Hair Clippers, Flees on Bike
The employee chased the thief on foot, but eventually lost sight of him.

A thief shoved a beauty supply employee and stole a pair of professional hair clippers worth more than $400 from a Parsippany store Wednesday morning, police said.
Parsippany Police are investigating the robbery at Royal Beauty Supply on New Road. A 26-year-old employee told officers when they arrived at about 10:45 a.m. that a man entered the store and lingered "suspiciously," police said.
When the employee confronted the man, he shoved her and stole the two hair clippers, a total value of $420, according to a release from Officer Remo D’Alessandro, community relations officer.

The man fled on an old Green Huffy mountain bike and the employee chased him on foot. The man got rid of the bike at the entrance of the shopping plaza near Rutgers Lane and ran toward Cycle Craft, out of view of the employee, according to the release.
The man is described as a white male in his 20s, about 5-foot-6 or 5-foot-7 who was wearing a black knit cap, dark gray hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants with pockets, police said.

Police said Detective/Lt. Brian Dowd and Detective Joseph Puso, of the Parsippany Police Investigative Division, arrived to further investigate, along with the Morris County Criminal Investigative Division.
