Sherrill Hosts COVID Roundtable With Hispanic Community Leaders

The discussion ranged from topics of health, education as well as the economic and social impacts of the global pandemic.

PARSIPPANY, NJ - US Representative Mikie Sherrill hosted a roundtable discussion with NJ-11 and statewide leaders about the health, economic, educational, and social impacts of COVID-19 on the Hispanic community, and the action that needs to be taken to bring coronavirus relief and systemic change to New Jersey.

“Discussions like this are critical in the effort to address the disproportionate impact COVID has had on particular communities. I am grateful for the opportunity to hear from this impressive group. They provided a broad range of perspectives from the Hispanic community," Sherrill said. "We will all need to continue to work together if we are going to address issues from the disparities in vaccine distribution to the systemic issues brought to light by this pandemic.”
