Snapchat Threat Not Credible, Didn't Target Morris Co.: PTHPD
Police say the threat was not credible, and did not mention Parsippany or any other Morris County school.
PARSIPPANY, NJ — A threat made on Snapchat in a nearby town did not put students in Parsippany, or any other Morris County towns, in danger, police said.
Parsippany police were made aware of the Snapchat around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police said. The post "involved threats against schools that was supposed to take place on today," police said.
The Snapchat was posted by a teen in Bergen County; officers there were also made aware of the threat, and talked to the teen, Parsippany police said. The Snapchat did not have a town name in it.

"At no time were any Parsippany students in any danger nor did the threat mention a specific school district," police said.
Saddle Brook Police said that the threat was not credible, and that police spoke to the teen and his parents. They increased security at local schools on Wednesday as a result.
