Two years ago Temple Beth Am embarked on a new model for our congregation. We wanted one which would help to better meet the needs of our congregants and those unaffiliated Jews in the area. We realized that temple dues and religious school costs can be obstacle for many. We decided to adjust our dues and to provide free temple membership to those families with children in religious school. This significantly reduced the cost to some families by over 70%.
In addition, as a result of COVID, we had reduced our temple dues by an additional 50%. We decided to continue the 50% dues reduction for one additional year through June 30, 2022.
